Guiding Principles
Centered Around the Biblical Foundation of Love in 1 John 4:1-21
1. We pray about every idea, etc., before we make a move, to 'test' whether or not it is of God, the Holy Spirit; to discern truth from error. (1 John 4:1-3)
2. Confessing Jesus, we will share the truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ. (1 John 4:2)
3. We trust God and persevere in/through the difficult times and situations. (1 John 4:4)
4. We seek to share the gospel and open the eyes of the blind being fully aware that it is not our job to save but God can use us to bring salvation to those He's already chosen to hear and receive. (1 John 4:5-6)
5. We live and serve out of LOVE! (1 John 4:7-11)
6. As we love, we are 'revealing' God/God's truth. We share stories of love and truth that culminate in a full presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. (1 John 4:12; 1 John 4:14-16)
7. We abide in Christ and allow Him full reign! The Holy Spirit is the engine that runs this ship. We seek God’s wisdom and guidance in/with all decisions through prayer. (1 John 4:13)
8. We have confidence that God is on our side. (1 John 4:17)
9. We love God in and rest in Him knowing He is the one in control. We trust God in all aspects of ministry/service. His love leads us to love Him and others. (1 John 4:18-19)
10. Loving God manifests itself in love for others. We check our motives and love others because God loves them. Loving others is evidence that we love God. God commands us to love others! (1 John 4:20-21)
11. We do all things with honesty, integrity and obedience to God’s word for we serve God, not man. (Colossians 3:23-24)
